Terms of Service

The rules for using Dota 2 Ready.

Effective date: May 10, 2026

Acceptance

By accessing dota2ready.com (the "Site") you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Site. These terms apply to all visitors, whether you run a diagnostic, read a guide, or just land on the homepage.

What the Tool Is — and Isn't

The network checker measures latency, jitter, packet loss, download speed, and upload speed using HTTP requests against this site's own endpoints, then combines them into a Playability Score. It is a diagnostic estimate— not a measurement against Valve's Dota 2 game servers. We do not have access to Valve's infrastructure, and your in-game ping may differ from what the browser-based test reports.

Use the score as a directional signal: if it's low, your connection probably needs work before you queue ranked. If it's high, you've eliminated obvious problems but the actual route to your regional Dota 2 server can still introduce additional latency we can't measure from a browser.

No Affiliation with Valve

Dota 2 Ready is an independent project. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or otherwise connected to Valve Corporation, the Dota 2 game, or any official Valve service. Dota and Dota 2 are trademarks of Valve. References to Dota 2 on this site are descriptive only.

Affiliate Disclosure

Some outbound links on this site — including links to ExitLag and similar third-party services — are affiliate links. If you click one and sign up, we may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. Affiliate compensation does not change which products we recommend, and we only link to services we believe genuinely help Dota 2 players.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Run automated load tests or scripts against the diagnostic endpoints
  • Scrape, mirror, or republish guide content without written permission
  • Attempt to interfere with the tests, the site, or other users' ability to use it
  • Use the Site to violate any law or Valve's own terms of service

Intellectual Property

All original content on this Site — guides, the Playability Score formula, articles, layout, and code — is owned by the Dota 2 Ready project. You're welcome to share links and short quotes with attribution. You may not republish full articles, sell access to the content, or train commercial AI systems on it without written permission.

No Warranty

The Site and the diagnostic are provided "as is". We make no guarantee that test results are accurate, that the Site will be available without interruption, or that any guide will resolve your specific problem. Network performance depends on your hardware, ISP, route, and Valve's servers — none of which we control.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dota 2 Ready and its contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including lost MMR, missed games, or equipment changes you make based on what you read here. Use the guides as a starting point, not as a substitute for advice from someone who can see your actual setup.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms occasionally. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
