Cookie Policy
Every cookie this site sets — and why.
Effective date: May 10, 2026
This page is the long version of the cookie disclosure summarised in our Privacy Policy. Dota 2 Ready itself does not set first-party tracking cookies. Cookies and similar technologies on this site come from the third parties listed below.
What Is a Cookie?
A cookie is a small text file your browser stores when you visit a site. Cookies let services remember things between page loads — for example, whether you're signed in, what language you prefer, or which ads you've already been shown. Local storage is similar but lives entirely in your browser; we use it for the battle-log feature that remembers your past test results.
Cookies We Use
Google AdSense
Once approved for AdSense, ads on this site are served by Google. Google and its ad partners may set cookies to remember which ads you've seen, measure ad performance, and (if you have not opted out) personalise ads based on your visits to this site and other sites. These cookies are set by Google, not by us.
Opt out of personalised advertising any time at Google Ads Settings, or via industry-wide opt-out programs: NAI (US) and Your Online Choices (EU). For Google's full disclosure see the How Google uses information page.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand which pages people read, which guides actually help, and where the site is slow. Analytics cookies record an anonymous identifier and aggregated behaviour — they do not capture your name, email, or test results. You can install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on to disable it across every site you visit.
Vercel Analytics
The site is hosted on Vercel, which runs its own privacy-friendly analytics. Vercel Analytics does not use cookies for visitor tracking and does not collect personal data — it uses anonymised, aggregated request data only.
Cloudflare
Cloudflare is used as a network endpoint for the download and upload speed tests. It may set short-lived security cookies (such as __cf_bm) to distinguish bots from real visitors. These cookies are not used for advertising or tracking across sites.
Local Storage (Not a Cookie, but Worth Mentioning)
The optional battle log on your home screen is saved in your browser's local storage, not on our servers. It never leaves your device. Clearing your site data clears the log permanently.
Managing Cookies
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge all support this)
- Use private / incognito mode for a session-only experience
- Install an ad blocker if you'd rather not see advertising at all
- Opt out of personalised ads via the Google links above without fully blocking ads
Blocking all cookies may break parts of the site that rely on third-party services (like the Cloudflare-backed speed tests).
Changes to This Policy
If we add or remove a third-party service we'll update this page and bump the effective date above. For the headline summary, cross-reference with the Privacy Policy.
